The Council of Ministers, in its session held today, approved the justifications for the Draft Regulation on the Mechanisms and Procedures of the Personal Data Protection Unit for the year 2025, issued pursuant to Article 24 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, in preparation for referring it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to complete the issuance procedures.
The draft regulation aims to clarify the mechanisms and procedures governing the work of the Personal Data Protection Unit, and to establish processes that ensure the effective implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, while ensuring full compliance with its provisions across all sectors.
The regulation organizes the Unit’s work in terms of tasks, procedures, oversight methods, and the mechanism for receiving complaints and reports. It also establishes a system for handling complaints and reports related to violations of personal data, ensuring fair and transparent resolution.
