Request to extend a temporary residency permit

Conditions for obtaining service

The petitioner shall be the sponsor who has sponsored the visitor -
The sponsored person shall be a national subject to the provisions of the Residency and Expatriates Affairs Law No. 24 of 1973 and its amendments -
The visitor has entered the Kingdom under the approval of the Ministry of Interior -

Notes

You must bring the following documents:
A letter by the sponsor or a designated form filled-out by the sponsoring person, containing the application for extension of residency, the reason forextension and duration required.
Copy of the visa by which the applicant has entered the country.
A copy of the passport and stamp of entryindicating the duration of residency granted to the visitor.

Procedures

The applicant shall fill-out the designated form for a temporary stay -
The receptionist checks and verifies the documents-
The application is then transferred to the department officer for recommendation on the application to the decision maker-
Aletter of final approval for the extension of temporary residency is then prepared with the extension period indicated-
The applicant is then handed-over the extension of residency letter to follow-up with the residency and borders department-
