ICT Minister calls on Iraq to benefit from Jordanian expertise

Amman, Dec.5 (Petra)

  ICT Minister Muthana Gharaibeh on Wednesday briefed Iraqi officials on the Kingdom's practical experiences in the automation of the health sector and the financial and electronic payment systems applied in Jordan.

Gharaibeh, who is visiting Iraq to participate in a conference about investments in telecommunications sector in the Arab world, said Jordan has made progress in the digital transformation process, pointing out that digitizing economic and service sectors continues to turn the country into Digital Jordan.

He called on providing the necessary facilities to Jordanian companies investing in the technology to enter Iraqi markets due to their expertise and high quality competencies in the fields of service engineering, sector digitization and business solutions.

The ICT Minister held meetings with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Planning, Fuad Hussein and Minister of Health and Environment Alaa Al-Din Al-Alwan in the presence of Jordan Ambassador to Iraq Muntaser Uqlah.
